Executive Order 1837: Amending Civil Service Rules Regarding Noncompetitive Examinations for Junior Clerks in Office of Indian Affairs

Paragraph 2 of Subdivision I of Schedule B of the civil-service rules, of classified positions which may be filled upon non-competitive examination, is hereby amended by the insertion before the word “messenger” of the words "junior clerk." As amended the paragraph will read as follows:

2. Junior clerk, messenger, assistant messenger, and messenger boy in the Office of Indian Affairs when filled by Indians.
